~Prologue~
The Eevee's heart was thumping loudly. She could hear the blood roaring in her ears.
The Houndooms had set a fire in the forest. She was running for dear life, coughing with the smoke moving into her lungs. She turned just to see a tree falling over, and she was caught under it.
“H-help!” she cried, breathing in more and more smoke, her coughs becoming louder and worsening. She heard something. She slowly opened her eyes, and saw a figure running towards her. Houndoom..? she thought in fear. The Eevee suddenly realized her pain was not as bad, and the burning fire was not on her back anymore. Turning her head to see, she saw a pokemon lifting the branch and tossing it aside. Soon grabbed by her neck scruff, the pokemon started rushing out of the hole. It was just collapsing behind them, right at the pokemon's heels. The pokemon jumped, making it just in time. She realized another pokemon waiting outside for him.
“Who...who are you?” she asked weakly.
“We'll tell you after you rest,” one of them replied, while checking her wounds. She looked at the pokemon gratefully, and in her mind promised that she would do anything for him. The Eevee didn't complain, and her eyes felt so heavy she already fell asleep.

“Umbreon, we can't just abandon this kid. She's still wounded badly and can't survive without treatment.”
“It's going to slow us down on our mission though, Leaf..this is an urgent rescue mission. The pokemon said it wouldn't be long until the pokemon passes.”
“This Eevee will pass as well if we leave it.”
“H-huh...” the Eevee was waking up, hearing part of the conversation. “Are the Houndooms gone..?”
“Yes. Go back to sleep,” the black one said, with yellow rings on her forehead, ears, shoulders and back legs.
“But I'm not tired...” she complained.
“Just go to sleep.”
“Heh, it's okay Umbre. You know how it is when you're a kid, never wanting to be told off by adults,” the other one said, apparently Leafeon.
“I suppose.”
“So...are we going to eat sometime soon?” the Eevee asked.
“Yes, we're going to gather berries over there to eat and then save them up for traveling,” Leafeon replied.
“Well with the fire's flames last night, all the berries will be burned out. Saying the fire didn't reach over here, it's a better chance,” she pointed out.
“I..never thought of that,” Umbreon said in shock.
“You're right, I can sense berries over there,” Leafeon's leaves on his body fell back down; he was taking advantage of being part plant by sensing the berries. They all walked towards the berries, and the Eevee started talking to Leafeon.
“I can't thank you enough for saving my life...” she whispered to him.
“It's nothing. It is our job to protect any pokemon from danger, and rescue any pokemon possible,” Leafeon explained, looking down at the Eevee's eyes, noticing how loyal she was to him.
“Really? Wow!” the Eevee started jump around him with excitement. “You really have a job that important?”
“Indeed we do, and we are very well known in these parts. Umbreon and I hope that one day we get more allies, and be trusted by everyone.”
“Kind of like a clan? A clan of poke-guardians?”
“Exactly like that. However, we've only done this for a few years so we don't have the most skill. As for now, we travel.”
“Travel..to where?”
“A forest. We've heard about one of top rivals invading there, and they visit every once in a while..we've been traveling there for months. Once we get there, we hope to stay.”
“I can help! Can I help? Please...!”
“We'll see. Ah, here we are,” Leafeon stopped at a bush of berries, and he immediately started eating, as well as Umbreon.
“We haven't had this good of a meal in days,” Umbreon remarked, chewing on a berry. The little Eevee started eating, and she started eating just as much as them. She, too, had not eaten in a while and these berries were very juicy. They were delicious.
“Umbre, I hear something. Quiet,” Leafeon's ears twitched, listening.
“Help...!” they all heard a faint cry.
“Where is it?” Umbreon asked. Leafeon bent down to use his senses, and the Eevee looked behind a bush.
“Careful, kid. There's a giant hole right in front of you,” Leafeon warned, and he walked over. He pushed his paw down right in front of her, and then dirt fell.
“Y-you found me!” a pokemon below exclaimed. Umbreon, Leafeon, and the Eevee looked down. There lay a Ninetales, laying on the bottom of the hole. It seemed that she broke her front right leg from the fall.
“We'll get you out of there, just stay calm,” Leafeon called, and he started looking around for something to pull her up.
“How long have you been there?” Umbreon questioned.
“Ten days..I haven't eaten in a month, however, because I couldn't find anything,” the Ninetales replied weakly. The Eevee thought for a moment, then broke away to a nearby tree with vines hanging low. She gripped them with her teeth and yanked them out, and then she looked for Weedle or Caterpie silk to connect them. To her luck, there was some on that same tree. Jumping up to get some, and ran back to the vines and put silk on each end to connect the vines. Dragging it to the hole, she threw it down, making sure she had some under her paw. She looked below and saw it reach the bottom.
“Umbreon, hold this,” she said urgently, and Umbreon put the vine under her paw. The Eevee looked for one last vine, and saw a good enough one. Yanking this one out as well she ran back and climbed down the vine.
“Grab onto this,” the Eevee said, and Ninetales grabbed on. Still having some of it, the Eevee climbed back up the vine, but started to grow nervous from the weight.
“Try to climb, too, please. I can't carry your weight,” she almost lost her hold onto the vine. The Ninetales started climbing a bit, too, and sometimes Ninetales let go of the vine; but the vine that she had in her teeth she still hanged onto, and the Eevee was able to keep Ninetales up with her part of the vine. Soon enough, they were all the way up.
“T-thank you...thank you so much,” Ninetales breathed in the fresh air. The Eevee only nodded a “You're welcome”.
After a while of chatting, the Ninetales left. They had offered some berries to her, but she refused and told them that they'd done enough.
“That was amazing, little Eevee!” Leafeon praised, and the Eevee felt so much joy swell within her.
“I admit, I was shocked, too,” Umbreon commented, and then the Eevee felt so happy she'd burst. She suddenly felt her body changing. Starting to glow so she could change, her tail grew thinner and ended in two. Her ears grew larger and wider, and then she felt her whole body getting more thin. She grew two fur tufts on each check, and something grew onto her forehead; a gem. Her eyes felt different, too, and the fur around her neck shedded off. Her body stopped glowing and she realized she was much larger now.

Leafeon and Umbreon have agreed to let Espeon into their group of poke-guardians. Join them, as they start a brand new journey, with many adventures awaiting...

As for sign-ups, there may not be any. Depends on where I decide to go with this. I have two different ideas for the story.

~Character Descriptions~
Espeon - [Description submitted by Sonickfan (from TTC)]
Espeon acts very much like a cat in that she tends to move around with a slow grace. Espeon does not usually fight physically, rather she uses her psychic powers to twist the weak minded, and shoot psybeams through her "third eye" at more powerful foes.
The "third eye" is not really an eye, but rather a jewel embedded in Espeon's flesh that helps channel mental psychic energy into physical forms such as beams, waves, and rays.
Espeon always has a smooth personality and likewise speaks with pep.
She prefers to communicate to others via telekinesis, but because she can only speak to one at a time that way, she will speak out loud when talking to the group or when she wants others to hear her.
Espeon cannot talk to Umbreon through telekinesis due to Umbreon's dark powers. She must speak out loud to Umbreon, though the two tend to avoid each other.
Espeon is very kind and is always eager to meet new faces.
Espeon is also very wise, and others come to her when they want to know something- though Espeon usually answers with statements or visions that pokemon do not understand right away. Pokemon get frustrated with her because of that, but the pokemon always figure out what Espeon meant later on at the perfect moment.

The leader. Strong will, strong heart. Very leaderlike. Very epic.
Because he is the leader, he always keeps an air of cool around him.
He is serious most of the time, and likewise has a mostly serious personality.
He can stop most fights fairly quickly with a loud yell or a quick razor leaf.
When challenged, he is always confident in what he does. Those that underestimate his power learn to regret it.
When something serious happens, Leafeon is the one to call the eons together.
Though it may not seem like it at first, he deeply cares about all of his fellow eon friends and will do anything it takes to save them from danger.
When not around the eon clan, he spends his time alone and values his time to himself.
He often sits along a cliff edge (a spot only known how to get to by him) and stares at the view of the lake.
When things are going good around the lake, he sits casually at his spot and enjoys the view, usually with calm, pleased eyes and a small smile.
When things are not going so good, he sits upright with a very serious face and ponders with intent what to do next.
When Leafeon was still an Eevee, he went through many trials and tough situations.
His face was burned by a Houndoom at one point and to this day he still has a burn scar, though it is a little hard to see unless you look directly at him, and even then it just looks like dark patches of fur.
Umbreon - [Description submitted by Sonickfan (from TTC)]
Umbreon is a tad different from the other eons, in that she is usually only seen during the night, in dark places, and at eon meetings.
Umbreon is very ninja-like in her movements and is difficult, if not impossible to spot when the moon is less than half full. When the moon shines, her yellow rings glow with an eerie light and her eyes pierce through the night.
Umbreon has a close bond with Leafeon and often visits him during the night. None of the other eons know of her visits.
She usually stops by for simple chatting, but at the same time gives a report of the events that happened throughout the day.
Nobody knows where umbreon goes during the day hours. She remains hidden within the shadows.
Umbreon has a habit of snickering under her breath at the end of every other sentence she speaks. Leafeon still finds it slightly creepy, but he has grown to like it a little.
Umbreon moves with quick feet and uses dark powers to shadow her foes. By the time most pokemon knows she's there, it's too late.
Because umbreon is not seen very often by anyone other than Leafeon, not many pokemon know much about her.
