Along the way, you have to complete the Pokédex given to you by Professor Samuel Oak, Gary's grandfather. Your Pokémon evolve, and and add more defense to your team, and battle Team Rocket along the way. Now go on, young Trainers! Enjoy your experience with Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen! [glow=green,2,300].WALKTHROUGH:.[/glow] Today, young Trainers, is the day. You are granted your Pokmon Trainer's Liscence, and you are are your way! Part One: Pallet Town, A Tranquil Setting of Peace and Purity When you start a new game, you are welcomed by Professor Samuel Oak, however in the games, he's just known as Professor Oak. He goes on and on about what his life dream was, and want a trainer to complete that dream for him! You are asked to choose between a boy or a girl. or We meet Phoenix, an ordinary girl just like you, whose life is about to change. Her rival, Yuki, is joining her adventure. When she leaves Pallet Town, to go to Route 1, she is stopped by Professor Oak. He then leads Phoenix to his lab. She is now supposed to pick up a Pokémon to be her starter. She choose Squirtle, who's name is Ami. We have a battle with our rival, who picked Bulbasaur. After that, make your way to Viridian City.

When you enter the PokéMart, you'll receive Oak's Parcel. Now to head back to Pallet Town and deliver the parcel to Prof. Oak. Once you deliver the parcel, your rival will show up. Prof. Oak will then ask the both of you to complete the Pokédex. Answer yes, and you'll receive the Pokédex. Now to complete it! That will take time, though. Now, go back to Viridian City, and head north and enter Viridian Forest. Once you exit Viridian Forest, head to Pewter City for your first Gym badge.

Part Three: Pewter City, A Stone Gray City Make sure you have your Pokémon at least to lv12 and go challenge Brock. He has a lv12 Geodude, and a lv14 Onix. Beat him, and obtain the BoulderBadge and TM39 Rock Tomb. Make your way east, and head towards the trail of Mt. Moon. Battle the trainers, catch a few Pokémon if you want to, train, and then make your way into Mt. Moon. Heading into Mt. Moon, battle the trainers, and run into Team Rocket, a notorius team of evil no-gooders. They take Pokémon's lives, and harm others, too. We're not afraid of them, now are we!? Of course not! Part Four: Cerulean City, A Mysterious Blue Aura Surrounds It After arriving in Cerulean, go towards the Pokémon Center and heal. Then head towards the PokéMart and stock up on a ton of items. After that, head north on Cerulean, and you'll run into your rival again. His team varies, depending on what starter you choose. If you started with Squirtle: Bulbasaur lv18, Pidgeotto lv17, Abra lv16, Rattata lv15 If you started with Charmander: Squirtle lv18, Pidgeotto lv17, Abra lv16, Rattata lv15 If you started with Bulbasaur: Charmander lv18, Pidgeotto lv17, Abra lv16, Rattata lv15 After you destroy your rival, you'll get the Fame Checker. He tells you about it when he gives it to you. Go and heal if nessessary, and then head north again and straight onto Route 24, aka Nugget Bridge, and the Cerulean Cape, home of Bill. Battle the trainers on Nugget Bridge and the trainers on Route 24 to gain some extra experience, and go and see Bill. He was experimenting and was transformed into a Clefairy! Help him and you'll be getting a S.S. Ticket. That S.S. Ticket is for the S.S. Anne in Vermilion, but we'll cover that later. Go back to Cerulean, heal, and go challenge the Gym. Cerulean Gym is home to Misty, a WATER-type Trainer, and she uses a lv18 Staryu, and a lv21 Starmie. For Staryu, great GRASS- and ELECTRIC-type moves work great. For Starmie, great GRASS-, ELECTRIC, and DARK-type moves are great, since Starmie is Water|Psychic. After beating Misty, you'll receive the CascadeBadge and TM03 Water Pulse. Make you way to the house where the cop is and be prepared to battle a Team Rocket Grunt. We'll pick up from there in our next part.

Part Five: Vermilion City, The Port of Exquisite Sunsets Now it's time to battle the Team Rocket Grunt. He has a lv17 Machop, and a lv17 Drowzee. After that, he'll give you TM28 Dig. Next go and heal, if nessessary, and head south of Cerulean City. You can't go through Saffron City, so you have to take the Underground Path to get to Vermilion. When you leave the Underground Path, you'll be on Route 6. The Trainers here are pretty tough, so don't say I didn't warn you. TRAINERS: Bug Catcher Keigo: lv16 Weedle, lv16 Caterpie, lv16 Weedle Camper Ricky: lv20 Squirtle Picknicker Nancy: lv16 Rattata, lv16 Pikachu Bug Catcher Elijah: lv20 Butterfree Picknicker Isabelle: lv16 Pidgey, lv16 Pidgey, lv16 Pidgey Camper Jeff: Spearow lv16, Raticate lv16 After battling all those Trainers, you'll finally be in Vermilion City. But before we go anywhere else, go heal. After healing, make your way to the S.S. Anne. Go to every room in the S.S. Anne, gaining experience, and gaining levels, hopefully. After that you'll battle your rival. If you have Squirtle: Pidgeotto lv19, Ivysaur lv20, lv16 Raticate, lv18 Kadabra If you have Charmander: Pidgeotto lv19, Wartortle lv20, lv16 Raticate, lv18 Kadabra If you have Bulbasaur: Pidgeotto lv19, Charmander lv20, lv16 Raticate, lv18 Kadabra After you beat him, you can go into the room with the captain. Poor, captain. He's so sick. You'll have to rub his back, and then you'll receive HM01 Cut. Teach it to your Pokemon, and then head out of the S.S. Anne. You'll see the ship leave, and now time to go onto the Vermilion Gym. GYM TRAINERS: Sailor Dwayne: lv21 Pikachu, lv21 Pikachu Engineer Baily: lv21 Voltorb, lv21 Magnemite Gentlemen Tucker: lv23 Pikachu Next is to go heal and head back to the Gym to challenge Lt. Surge! Lt. Surge is a master at Electric-types, so be careful. If you have Squirtle/Wartortle and Pidgey/Pidgeotto, DO NOT USE THEM!!! THEY ARE WEAK TO ELECTRIC-TYPE ATTACKS!!! Use Pikachu if it has Dig, and Geodude for Magnitude and/or Dig. Lt. Surge: Voltorb lv21, lv18 Pikachu, lv24 Raichu If you win, you'll receive the Thunder Badge, and TM34 Shock Wave. We'll take care of Rock Tunnel, Diglett's Cave, and Routes 11 and 9 in the next part.
